A gallery is the presentation view for clients.
You can share galleries via a link. Sending emails directly from the app is not supported.
Custom domain: Your branding is used for share links and gallery links.
Naming: If you name the gallery after your client, for example “Ricola”, this name appears in the link:
assets.photographer.com/g/ricola
Galleries are intended for the client view. Clients can select and download assets within them.
Example: School photos with one gallery per child
With school photos, each family should only see their own child's images. You still manage just one project per class: one collection and one gallery per child, with the gallery showing only that collection.
Create one workspace per school, with one folder per school year and one project per class.
Upload all of the class's images to the project.
Create one collection per child: click the child's first image, hold down the Shift key and click the last one. Click Add Collection, enter the child's name, tick Add selected photos to collection and click Save.
Under Galleries, create the first gallery with New Gallery. It serves as a template. Enter the child's name under Title and, for example, the school and school year under Caption.
Turn on Add Watermark to Previews and Allow Client Selection. This lets the parents choose from their child's images.
Under Theme, pick a saved preset under Preset and choose one of the child's images as the cover photo.
Under Filter, add a condition for Collection and choose the child's collection. Click Save.
Duplicate the gallery for the next child
In the gallery's three-dot menu, choose Duplicate.
Change Name and Title to the next child.
Under Filter, switch the collection to the next child.
Under Theme, replace the cover photo with one of this child's images and click Save.
Design, watermark and client selection stay the same. The cover photo is copied too, so always replace it. Otherwise a family will see another child on the cover.
Give the links to the teacher
Copy each gallery's link at the top with Copy and collect the links in a list, with the child's name next to each link. The teacher passes on to each family only their own link.
If the teacher wants to see all the images, create a gallery without a filter and turn on Show Collections under Theme. The images are then grouped by child. More on this: Display collections in the gallery.
