Using collections to structure your gallery in moodcase

Updated over a year ago

In moodcase, we offer you flexible ways to present your photos. One effective way to structure your gallery is to use collections from your library as a navigation aid. In this article, we'll show you how to create collections and integrate them into your gallery as a navigation aid.

Step 1: Organize images in the library into collections

  1. Open your moodcase library.

  2. Select the images you want to group together in a collection.

  3. Create a new collection and name it accordingly (e.g. by theme, event, shooting date, etc.).

Step 2: Create a gallery

  1. Go to the area where you can create new galleries.

  2. Click on "Add gallery".

  3. Give your gallery a title and add the desired images or select an existing collection.

Step 3: Activate the collection navigation in the theme tab

  1. Once you have created your gallery, navigate to the theme tab on the right-hand side.

  2. Here you will find the "Show collections" toggle.

  3. Activate this toggle to display the collections as sub-navigation in your gallery.

This simple integration allows you to improve your gallery overview and enable your viewers to navigate specifically through different sections. Experiment with different collections to find the ideal presentation for your work.
