MCP (Model Context Protocol) connects moodcase to an AI assistant. The assistant can then search your workspaces, folders, projects and images, and create new projects.
The connection only sees what you can see in moodcase. Team, workspace and project permissions still apply. You decide what the assistant may change when you connect.
What you need
Name:
moodcaseServer URL:
https://app.moodcase.io/mcpSign-in: your moodcase login. No token is needed for this.
Claude (web, desktop and Cowork)
Open "Customize" → "Connectors" and add a custom connector.
Enter
moodcaseas the name andhttps://app.moodcase.io/mcpas the server URL.Sign in to moodcase and allow access.
Turn on moodcase in the chat.

Whether custom MCP servers are available depends on your ChatGPT account and your workspace settings.
Claude Code
Add the server in your terminal:
claude mcp add --transport http moodcase https://app.moodcase.io/mcp
Then open /mcp in Claude Code, select moodcase and sign in.
Cursor
Add this to .cursor/mcp.json in your project, or to ~/.cursor/mcp.json for all projects:
{ "mcpServers": { "moodcase": { "url": "https://app.moodcase.io/mcp" } } }Restart Cursor and sign in to moodcase when prompted.
VS Code with GitHub Copilot
Add this to .vscode/mcp.json:
{ "servers": { "moodcase": { "type": "http", "url": "https://app.moodcase.io/mcp" } } }Start the server and sign in to moodcase.
Your own scripts with a token
For scripts without an interactive sign-in, a fixed token is available. You can request it from support; it is not available in the app.
Your MCP client uses the same server URL and sends the token as a header:
Authorization: Bearer <MOODCASE_TOKEN>
The script has to use the MCP protocol. Opening the URL in a browser or sending a plain HTTP request is not enough; a blank page in the browser is expected.
What the connection can do
List workspaces, with the team or account they belong to
List folders and projects, including archived projects on request, each with a cover image
Search teams, workspaces, folders, projects and images, also within a single project. Multiple words must all appear; put an exact phrase in quotation marks.
Browse the images of a project, newest first
Get the details of an image: high-resolution link, description, alt text, keywords and location
Create new projects in a folder, if you granted write access when connecting
Comments and your clients' selections cannot be retrieved through the connection at the moment.
